In order to get to Machu Picchu many believe that there is only one form of access via rail, however, many tourists who visit Machu Picchu do not use this form of access, in this day and age many prefer to walk and appreciate the beautiful landscapes and climate that this zone of Peru has to offer us, there exists routes such as Machu Picchu By Car, Inca Trail and Salkantay Trekking which connects the tourists to Machu Picchu.

ITINERARY - DAY 1

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO-OLLANTAYTAMBO-MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO

10:30 Pick up from your hotel in Cusco.
10:30 – 12:30 Bus trip from Cusco to Ollantaytambo.
12:50 – 14.25 Train ride from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.
Reception at the Aguas Calientes station.
Free afternoon for lunch, visit the town, markets, hot springs of Aguas Calientes, etc.
Overnight at the Aguas Calientes hostel.
20:00 – 20:15 Our guide will visit you at your hotel for the briefing (coordination of details for the next day’s tour).

In the morning we will collect you at 10:30 from your hotel

Then we will board our mobility, to the town of Ollantaytambo, here we will be arriving around 12:30 pm the train will leave at 12:50 am

From this point the trip continues with the beautiful landscape – climates that make these landscapes a paradise within the majestic snow-capped peaks and making this place a tropical climate. We will continue our route on the railroad, until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes, at the train station a person with our names will be waiting for us.

ITINERARY - DAY 2

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES-MACHUPICCHU-OLLANTAYTAMBO-CUSCO

06:00 – 06:30 Ascent by bus from Aguas Calientes to the archaeological group of Machu Picchu.
7:00 – 9:00 am Guided Tour of one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World – Machu Picchu.

Free time to continue exploring the archaeological group, take your best photos, have lunch, visit the town, etc.
18:20 – 20:20 Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo (train station).
20:30 – 22:30 Return by bus from Ollantaytambo to the city of Cusco.

Note: At the agreed time, the night before the tour, you will have a briefing at your hotel with our guide.

Now that you have rejoined the group and the guide we will direct ourselves to Our guide will now direct us to the consettur bus station, in order to make our way to Machu Picchu.

Entering in order to visit the “Citadel of Machu Picchu” in the first shift, the guided tour will be from 7:00 am – 9:00 am our guide will have the opportunity to explain and let you know the history of Machu Picchu in the most important points, after you have been guided, you will have free time to learn more about our Wonder of the World. At 12:00 pm at the latest, you will have to return to the town of Aguas Calientes, 30 minutes on the consettur bus. You will have free time in the town of Aguas Calientes, village of Machu Picchu where you can enjoy your lunch and get to know the town more. Your train will leave at 18:20 pm or 20:20 p.m. however you need to be 30 minutes before at the station to board your train with the final destination being Ollantaytambo. Finally you will arrive at the Ollantaytambo station, there will be somebody waiting for you who will direct you to the bus that will take you to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 20:30 hrs (if you leave Machu Picchu village at 18:20 hrs) or at 22:30 hrs (if you depart Aguas Calientes 20:20 hrs).

On our arrival to the city of Cusco our transport will leave us in the Plaza of San Francisco and with this, the Machu Picchu full day tour via train will be finalised.
