SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the Peruvian Andes, is made up of numerous rivers that descend through gorges and small valleys; it has numerous archaeological monuments and indigenous people. The journey from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu is beautiful.

This valley was much appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. It was one of the main production points because of the richness of its lands and place where the best corn grain is produced in Peru, ending its journey through the sacred valley of the Incas, a train ride from the town of Ollantaytambo will await you towards Machu Picchu where you will spend the night in a hotel *** (Machu Picchu Adventure house) and the next day you will visit the town of Machu Picchu.

Performing this tour and joining two great attractions of the city of Cusco is one of the most attractive pleasures that the tourists offer and what the city of Cusco has, since it visits the most important archaeological centers that the Inca culture had. These archaeological centers are accompanied of beautiful places of a valley on the banks of the great Vilcanota river starting with the high Andean Andes of the city of Cusco and entering the Peruvian jungle to end with one of the new Wonders of the World of Machu Picchu.

DAY 1: CUSCO- SACRED VALLEY-AGUAS CALIENTES

This day we will make the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a tour that will begin at 08:30 a.m., at which time we will pick you up at your hotel. The first place to visit is Pisaq with its typical handicraft market you will also visit the archaeological group of Pisaq with its picturesque terraces cultivated in the mountains. Then we will go to Urubamba where we have a buffet lunch included. Continuing with the tour we will go to the Ollantaytambo Fortress also known as the living Incan city. Finally we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station, to board the train that leaves at 16:36 hrs to Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive averaging 18:09 hrs. Overnight at selected hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).

DAY 02: Tour to Machu Picchu «The Lost City of the Incas» – CUSCO

Altitude of the Citadel of Machu Picchu: 2,430 masl.

After getting up very early and having breakfast, we will go up to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and we can determine the spectacular sunrise of this wonder.

Then you will embark on an excursion with our guide through the citadel of Machu Picchu, for 2 hours, on the tour you will visit the most important precincts of this city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, The Royal Rooms, The temple of the Three Windows and the Cemeteries, the tour takes more than two hours. Then you will be given free time to take a walk through the citadel. You will have all morning in Machu Picchu to take pictures and be in this mystical place. Then we will return back to to Aguas Calientes by bus and in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo at 19:00 or 14:30, where our staff will be waiting for you, to transport you by bus to the city of Cusco, reaching the average 23:00.
